
OUR PRIEST: FATHER ĐORĐE TOMIĆ

Fr. Đorđe was born and raised in the small town Višegrad in Bosnia and Herzegovina where he also finished elementary school. At the age 14th, he enrolled in the theological seminary St. Peter of Dabrobosnia in the nearby city, which lasted for five years. Main purpose of the seminary was to prepare candidates for priesthood. After completion of the program, he started his undergraduate studies at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox School of Theology in Chicago. He graduated in June 2017 and then he moved to New York to St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary where he pursued M.A. Degree. In 2019, he finished his studies at St. Vlad’s and soon after he was ordained into the holy priesthood. Since then, he worked at two congregations. At the first one, St. Basil of Ostrog in Gradiška which was located in his home country, he stayed for two years, working as an priest and substitute teacher of religion in the local elementary school. Later on, in July 2021, he moved to Virginia, USA, where he is currently working as a parish priest at our missionary Serbian Orthodox Parish in Goochland County.
